{"id":7866,"date":"2022-04-01T09:23:59","date_gmt":"2022-04-01T07:23:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.serbski-institut.de\/international-summer-course-on-sorbian-wendish-language-and-culture\/"},"modified":"2022-05-24T13:37:44","modified_gmt":"2022-05-24T11:37:44","slug":"summer-course","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.serbski-institut.de\/en\/summer-course\/","title":{"rendered":"International Summer Course on Upper Sorbian\/Wendish Language and Culture"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color:red\">The course is full, registrations are only possible in exceptional cases!<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Period:<\/strong>  22.07.2022 &#8211; 06.08.2022<\/h3>\n<p><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Target group<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Slavists<\/li>\n<li>Students of Slavic studies from Germany and abroad<\/li>\n<li>all those interested in learning Upper Sorbian\/Upper Lusatian Wendish<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Course content<\/strong>:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Upper Sorbian\/Wendish<\/strong> language exercises for beginners and advanced learners (approx. 50 lessons of 45 minutes each; those interested in Lower Sorbian\/Wendish will find up-to-date information on upcoming courses on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sorbische-wendische-sprachschule.de\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">homepage of the School for Lower Sorbian Language and Culture)<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Lectures on Sorbian language, literature, history and culture<\/li>\n<li>Talks with Sorbian cultural representatives<\/li>\n<li>Visits to cultural institutions as well as excursions through Lusatia<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"templ_tr\">\n<div class=\"templ_td_templ\">\n<h3><strong>Course fee, accommodation and meals:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Accommodation:<\/strong> Course participants are accommodated in the Sorbian boarding school of the WITAJ Language Center on Friedrich-List-Stra\u00dfe 8a in Bautzen\/Budy\u0161in mainly in double rooms. Classes are held in the rooms of the Sorbian Grammar\/High School in the immediate vicinity.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fee:<\/strong> The normal course fee is 600,00 \u20ac, for students 450,00 \u20ac. For participants from Slavic or Eastern European countries, a reduced participation fee of 300,00 \u20ac or 200,00 \u20ac (for students) applies. Prospective participants coming directly from Ukraine can receive additional support.<\/p>\n<p>The course fee covers classes, lodging, meals and excursions.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Pandemic Regulations:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The current plan is to allow anyone interested to participate regardless of vaccination or recovery status. If necessary, tests will be provided on site by the Sorbian Institute.
